Clarify whether attention, organization, inhibition, working memory, anxiety, learning, or another factor best explains the difficulty.
Understand academic strengths and needs when effort, performance, and apparent ability do not align.
Identify high ability alongside learning, attention, emotional, or developmental complexity.
Distinguish overlapping symptoms or revisit an explanation that has not produced useful treatment direction.
Develop a more precise roadmap when therapy has produced insight but the central pattern remains unclear.
WHAT THE WORK INCLUDES
The evaluation begins by defining the questions the assessment must address and the history needed to interpret results.
Measures are chosen according to age, referral question, complexity, and scope rather than from a fixed battery.
The evaluator scores and integrates test data with history, observations, and the person’s lived experience.
Each evaluation includes a written report describing findings, strengths, needs, and useful next steps.
A dedicated feedback meeting explains the findings, answers questions, and connects results to practical recommendations.
When appropriate, the process uses collaborative questions and feedback to make the evaluation clinically useful rather than merely descriptive.
A SIMPLE PROCESS
Clarify the referral question, age, scope, available service, and anticipated fee before testing begins.
Complete the interview and selected assessment components with the responsible clinician identified in advance.
Receive the written report and discuss the findings and recommendations in a feedback appointment.
